Comparing the Clinical Impact of Pancreatic Cyst Surveillance Programs and Associated Biomarkers

We study pancreatic cysts and biomarkers in clinical trials.

Recruiting
50-75 years
All
Phase N/A

This study compares two ways to keep an eye on pancreatic cysts, which are fluid-filled sacs in the pancreas. The pancreas is an organ in our belly that helps with digestion. One group of patients will have their cysts checked often, while another group will have less frequent checks. Doctors also want to find biomarkers, which are signals in the blood or images that can tell if a cyst might turn into cancer. This could help doctors decide the best way to watch the cysts and help patients feel better.

  • The study lasts for 5 years with check-ups every 6 months or yearly.
  • Participants need to be between 50 and 75 years old with a cyst of at least 1 cm.
  • Optional blood tests and procedures like MRIs or CT scans might be done.

Participants should consider how often they will visit the doctor and whether any extra tests might be needed. This study will help understand which method of cyst monitoring is best for patient health and costs.
