Pancreatic and biliary cancers have poor survival rates and are difficult to accurately diagnose with current imaging methods like CT (computed tomography) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). This study aims to test a newer imaging method, 68Ga-FAPI-46 PET/CT, to see if it can better detect these cancers and improve treatment decisions from the start. PET/CT (positron emission tomography/computed tomography) is a type of scan that uses a small amount of radioactive material to look for disease in the body.
Key Points:
- This study involves patients with newly diagnosed pancreatic or biliary cancer, who are not metastatic.
- Participants must be over 18 and able to give informed consent.
- The study aims to change how these cancers are imaged and managed, potentially improving outcomes.
