This study is for patients with pancreatic cancer receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy, which is treatment before surgery to shrink tumors. Patients with this type of cancer often face functional decline and may experience more severe effects if they are frail, meaning weaker or more fragile. The study aims to test a special physical activity program to help improve strength and daily function in these patients. The exercises are low-intensity and use resistance, like lifting light weights or using stretchy bands.
Key points to consider:
- The study involves supervised exercise sessions.
- Participants must be at least 18 years old and able to provide consent.
- It’s important to be medically fit for exercise, as determined by doctors.
This program aims to provide preliminary data on how safe and feasible the exercise routine is, and how it might improve participants' ability to handle daily activities. This information will help design future studies. Eligibility includes being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, able to communicate in English or Spanish, and willing to participate in scheduled activities.
