End-stage renal disease (ESRD) means your kidneys are not working well, and this can make surgeries like those on the pancreas more risky. This study looks at the medical records of people with ESRD who had pancreatic surgery. The goal is to see how different factors such as surgery type, kidney failure severity, and treatments like dialysis (a machine that helps clean your blood when your kidneys can’t) affect risks like surgery complications, hospital stay, and costs.
Doctors will review blood tests and scans (like CT, MRI, and Ultrasound) from past surgeries to understand what might make surgery safer or more complicated. This will help them give better advice to people with ESRD who might need pancreatic surgery in the future.
- The study looks at records of surgeries from 2005 to 2021.
- Participants must be between 20 and 75 years old.
