This study is about testing a new drug, efimosfermin alfa, for people with a liver condition called MASH. MASH stands for Metabolic Associated Steatohepatitis, which is a type of liver disease where fat builds up in the liver and causes damage. People joining this study must have had a liver biopsy, which is a test where a small piece of liver tissue is taken to check the stage of liver damage. The study is comparing the new drug to a placebo, which is a dummy treatment, to see if it helps the liver get better.
Eligibility: Adults aged 18-75 with certain health conditions can join. You cannot join if you have other liver diseases or high levels of certain substances in your blood.
Key Points:
- The study involves getting a liver biopsy to confirm MASH and regular check-ups.
- Participants must have certain health conditions like metabolic syndrome to qualify.
- Not suitable for those with other liver diseases or high alcohol intake.
