**Sickle Cell Disease (SCD)** is a blood disorder that affects red blood cells, causing pain and other health problems. This study is testing a new treatment called **anumigilimab** to see if it's safe for adults with SCD. Anumigilimab is given as a shot under the skin. The study lasts 64 weeks, starting with 12 weeks of adjusting the dose to find the best amount for each person, followed by 52 weeks of regular treatment.
Participants must be 18 or older and have SCD. They should have had 1 to 12 pain crises (also known as VOCs) needing medical care in the past year. If taking **Hydroxyurea (HU)**, a common SCD medicine, the dose must be stable, or some participants might have chosen not to take HU due to side effects.
Key Points:
- The study lasts for 64 weeks, with regular visits to the doctor.
- Participants will receive treatment under their skin with anumigilimab.
- Eligibility includes having SCD and experiencing pain crises in the past year.
