**Study Name:** A Study of Aleniglipron in Adults With Obesity or Overweight and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (ACCOMPLISH-2) This research is looking at how safe and effective a medicine called *aleniglipron* is for adults with *Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus* (T2DM) who are *overweight* or have *obesity*. T2DM is a condition where the body has trouble using sugar properly. Participants will either get *aleniglipron* or a *placebo* (a pill with no medicine) for 76 weeks, and neither they nor the researchers will know which one they are getting. This helps make sure the study results are fair and not biased. **Key Points:** - The study lasts for 76 weeks. - Participants will be randomly chosen to receive either the medicine or a placebo. - You must have a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 27 or higher and a specific level of blood sugar (HbA1c) to join. To join, you need to sign a consent form and meet certain health criteria. You cannot join if you have type 1 diabetes, have had recent severe blood sugar issues, are being treated for certain eye problems, or recently lost a lot of weight.
