Phase N/A
**Study Overview:** This study looks at how diabetes affects the eyes over time. Diabetes can cause problems in the retina, which is the part of the eye that helps you see. Researchers want to learn more about these changes to help create better treatments for diabetic eye diseases. **Participation Details:** - **Duration & Visits**: This is a long-term study, so participants will need to visit the clinic multiple times. - **Eligibility**: You should be 18 years or older, with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, or a non-diabetic control. You should have good vision (20/32 or better) and be willing to give consent. - **Exclusions**: If you have any other eye diseases, have had eye treatments or surgery recently, you may not qualify. **Key Points:** - **No previous treatments**: If you've had treatment for diabetic retinopathy or swelling (DME), you cannot participate. - **Eye health**: Good vision is necessary, but no recent eye surgeries. - **Commitment**: Be ready for long-term involvement with regular clinic visits. This study aims to help find new ways to treat diabetic eye problems by understanding changes in the retina.
