This study is testing a drug called dotinurad for people with gout who can't use certain other treatments. Gout is a type of arthritis that causes painful swelling in the joints. Dotinurad is being tested to see if it can lower serum uric acid (sUA), a substance in the blood that can cause gout. The study lasts 24 weeks and checks how well dotinurad works for people who can't take other medications like Xanthine Oxidase Inhibitors (XOI) or have not been helped by uricase treatment.
Key Points:
- The study lasts for 24 weeks.
- Participants must be between 18 and 75 years old and have gout for at least 1 year.
- Certain health issues like recent kidney stones or cancer may prevent participation.
Participants will have blood tests and possibly other visits to check their health during the study. Those interested should not have certain health problems or a history of drug or alcohol abuse. Women must not be pregnant or breastfeeding. Participants need to use contraception during the study.
