This study is exploring if *hippotherapy*, which is therapy with horses, can help people with Parkinson's disease improve their movement, walking, balance, and how they feel about their health. Parkinson's disease affects the brain and makes it hard to control movements. People in the study will be split into two groups: one group will receive hippotherapy, and the other group will get extra physiotherapy, which is special exercises to help with movement. The study lasts for three weeks.
- Participants will receive therapy three times a week.
- The study includes a total of seven sessions for hippotherapy.
- Eligibility includes being over 18 years old and being able to climb stairs with help.
To join, you must have Parkinson's disease and be able to walk with some help. You cannot join if you have severe memory problems, are allergic to horses, or if you have certain health conditions. This study will help decide if hippotherapy can be a useful treatment for people with Parkinson's disease.
