This study is looking at how well a new drug called petosemtamab works with chemotherapy for a type of colon cancer that is on the left side of the colon and cannot be removed by surgery or has spread. Two groups of participants will either receive petosemtamab with chemotherapy or another standard drug called cetuximab with chemotherapy. Both chemotherapy options are named mFOLFOX6 and FOLFIRI, which are combinations of different medicines.
Participants will visit the study clinic twice every 4 weeks for tests and procedures to see if the treatment is working and safe. The length of time participants stay in the study will vary depending on their individual response to treatment.
- Participants must have a specific type of colon cancer that hasn't been treated before.
- Participants can't join if they have certain genetic changes in their cancer.
- Participants will not receive a placebo, which is a fake treatment.
