Phase N/A

This study is about a special medical tool called the GORE® VIATORR® TIPS Endoprosthesis. It is used for a procedure called transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS), which helps people with portal hypertension. Portal hypertension is high blood pressure in the veins that bring blood to the liver, which can cause problems like bleeding and fluid build-up in the belly.

  • The study will follow patients for 2 years after they receive the TIPS treatment.
  • Participants will have several follow-up visits for check-ups and questionnaires.
  • A total of around 152 patients will be part of this study.

To be part of this study, you need to be 18 or older and have cirrhotic portal hypertension. You can't have a liver transplant already done, a very short life expectancy, certain cancers, or be part of another study that doesn't allow this one. If you join, doctors will check on your health and collect data to see how well the TIPS device works in everyday life. The study is safe and part of usual medical care. Participants won't need extra imaging, but doctors might use it if needed for safety checks.
