Phase 2

This study is testing a drug called clazakizumab to see if it can lower levels of a protein called hsCRP. hsCRP stands for high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and is a sign of inflammation, which means swelling or irritation in the body. People with high hsCRP levels are more likely to have heart problems. The study will compare clazakizumab to a placebo, which is like a fake medicine that doesn't have any active ingredients. Participants need to have certain health conditions like heart disease, obesity (BMI ≥30), type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or kidney disease but should not have had recent heart attacks, certain infections, or some other serious health issues. The study will last about 9 months.

  • Participation lasts about 9 months.
  • Participants should have specific health conditions but not recent serious health issues.
  • The study involves comparing clazakizumab to a placebo.
