Phase N/A

Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB) is a brain disease affecting memory, attention, and more. It causes symptoms like seeing things that aren't there (visual hallucinations), trouble with movement (parkinsonism), and issues during sleep (REM sleep behavior disorder). In this study, researchers want to see if red-light therapy (using a special helmet with small LED lights) can help people with DLB.

The study will last 8 months for each participant. Before starting the red-light therapy, and again after 3 and 6 months of use, the researchers will check how well participants' brains work and ask about their symptoms and daily life. They will also talk to caregivers to see how they are feeling.

  • Study Duration: 8 months per participant
  • Visits: Initial evaluation, 3-month follow-up, 6-month follow-up
  • Eligibility: Age 50+, diagnosed with probable DLB, accompanied by a caregiver
